Five bakeries inside Greensboro city limits, from Spring Garden Bakery and a Vietnamese bread bakery to downtown cheesecake and dessert shops.

Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Greensboro’s bakeries are spread across the city: Spring Garden Street near UNCG, South Elm and North Davie streets downtown, West Gate City Boulevard, and Bruegger’s on West Friendly and Battleground avenues. Dessert-only shops are also on our ice cream and desserts list.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records with a Greensboro address, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026, and against the U.S. Census Bureau’s city limits. We added Bruegger’s from its own Greensboro store list and Savor the Moment from the Downtown Greensboro Inc. directory. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.

Not on the list yet. OpenStreetMap also has El Buen Gusto Bakery on West Gate City Boulevard, Odalys Panadería y Pastelería on Farmington Drive, Donut World on Battleground Avenue and Dunkin’ and Panera Bread stores, and Friendly Center lists Nothing Bundt Cakes and Tous les Jours. We could not reach a website of their own with a Greensboro address and hours, so they are not in the table yet.

Related lists: wings, pizza, Mexican and Tex-Mex, barbecue, breakfast and coffee, burgers, sushi and Asian, ice cream and desserts, patios and outdoor dining and every list by category. Also: brunch, date night, farmers markets, the business directory and restaurant inspection scores.
