Easter 2027 is Sunday, March 28, right after Guilford County Schools' spring break. Greensboro egg hunts from last year, Easter Bunny photos and what to expect.

Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. This page is updated every year at the same address. 2027 egg hunt dates are not out yet; where we list 2026 events, we say so and never guess the new date. Brunch is listed only from restaurants’ own pages.

Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027, and Good Friday is March 26, the last day of Guilford County Schools’ spring break on the traditional calendar. No 2027 egg hunt dates are out yet; we add them here as organizers publish them.

Egg hunts: what ran in 2026

2026 date Event Where Who
3 to 4:30 p.m. Sat. March 28, 2026 Egg Hunt for Good: free; bring nonperishable food for local pantries; kids of all ages LeBauer Park Great Lawn, downtown Early Childhood Center and West Market Street United Methodist Church
6 p.m. Fri. April 3, 2026 Easter Movie EGGstravaganza: egg hunts by age, farm animals and an outdoor movie (ticketed) Summerfield Farms, Summerfield Summerfield Farms with the Summerfield Fire Department

Egg Hunt for Good works like a scavenger hunt: children drop off food donations, search the LeBauer Park Great Lawn with a map, then trade their eggs for a bag of treats. There are crafts and snacks, and an adult egg hunt that helps local nonprofits win prizes. Questions go to the church at rachel@westmarketchurch.org; its event page will carry the 2027 date.

Summerfield Farms, about eight miles north, split its 2026 hunt into three age groups: 0 to 2 at 6:30 p.m., 3 to 5 at 6:45 p.m. and 6 and up at 6:55 p.m., with the movie at sunset.

Greensboro Parks and Recreation’s own events are listed on its special events page and the city’s news page; we add any 2027 city egg hunt here when it is announced. Churches and neighborhood groups also hold hunts; we list them when the organizer publishes the date, time and place.

Pictures with the Easter Bunny

Four Seasons Town Centre has run Photos with the Bunny in past springs. The 2027 dates will be on the mall’s events page.

Easter services

Churches post their Holy Week and Easter service times on their own websites. West Market Street United Methodist Church, for example, lists its regular 9 a.m. modern and 11 a.m. traditional Sunday services.

Easter brunch

We list Easter brunch only after a restaurant posts its own Easter menu or reservations page. For restaurants that serve brunch every weekend, see our brunch guide.

What is open and closed

  • 2026 for reference: the City of Greensboro observed Good Friday and spring break on Friday, April 3, 2026, with no trash collection that day, under its holiday calendar, and the library closed that Friday and Easter Sunday.
  • 2027: the city’s 2027 holiday calendar is not out yet. We will add the Good Friday trash schedule when it is posted.
